| PennDOT to Repair and Resurface 33 Miles of State Highway in Montgomery County | |

| The Pennsylvania Department of
Transportation (PennDOT) today announced that construction is scheduled
to begin Monday (August 2) on a $7.1 million project to repair and
resurface 33 miles of state highway in Montgomery County. The work schedule for next week is: • Monday through Friday (August 2-6) – Susquehanna Road will be restricted between Route 152 (Butler Pike) and Twining Road in Upper Dublin Township 24 hours a day for milling and paving; and • Monday through Friday (August 2-6) – Tennis Avenue will be restricted between Bethlehem Pike and Route 63 (Welsh Road) in Lower Gwynedd and Upper Dublin townships from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. for milling. The additional highways to be resurfaced under this contract are: • Quakertown Road between Layfield Road and the Bucks County line in Upper Hanover Township, Montgomery County and Milford Township, Bucks County; • Sleepy Hollow Road between Quakertown Road and Gerryville Road in Upper Hanover Township, Montgomery County, and Milford Township, Bucks County; • Route 73 (Skippack Pike) between Skippack Creek and Old Forty Foot Road in Skippack Township; • Cedar Road between Church Road and Route 232 (Huntingdon Pike) in Abington and Cheltenham township; • Orvilla Road between Route 63 (Welsh Road) and Route 309 (Bethlehem Pike) in Hatfield Township; • Route 63 (Sumneytown Pike) between Magazine Road and Barndt Road in Upper Salford Township; • Welsh Road/Pine Road between Welsh Road and County Line Road in Lower Moreland Township; • Moreland Avenue between Pine Road and Route 232 (Huntingdon Pike) in Abington Township; • Belmont Avenue between Route 1 (City Avenue) and Interstate 76 in Lower Merion Township; • Cheltenham Avenue between Ogontz Avenue and Paper Mill Road in Springfield and Cheltenham townships; • Route 309/Cheltenham Avenue between Route 611 (Broad Street) and Ogontz Avenue in Cheltenham Township; • Route 363 (Valley Forge Road) between Defford Road and Route 73 in Worcester Township; • Route 611 between Route 63 (Moreland Road) and the Pennsylvania Turnpike in Upper Moreland Township; • Stump Hall Road between Route 363 (Valley Forge Road) and Green Hill Road in Worcester Township; and • Susquehanna Road between Route 232 (Huntingdon Pike) and Brook Road in Abington Township. Highway Materials, Inc. of Blue Bell, Pa., is the general contractor on the $7,107,312 project which is financed with 100 percent state funds. The project is expected to finish by April 2011.
