The major disaster declaration for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania,

FEMA-4025-DR, Hurricane Irene, has been amended to include INDIVIDUAL

ASSISTANCE for Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Lehigh, Luzerne, Monroe,

Montgomery, Northampton, Philadelphia, Sullivan, and Wyoming Counties.

The original declaration focused on state and local response efforts.

 

INDIVIDUAL ASSISTANCE can include temporary housing assistance for

eligible applicants, including assistance for rent and repairs.

Individuals in the designated counties are encouraged to register with

FEMA.

 

Townships in the designated counties can direct affected residents to

register for assistance as follows:

 

- Telephone - Call toll free 1-800-621-FEMA (3362) or TTY at

800-462-7585. Those who use 711 or Video Relay Service (VRS) may call

800-621-3362.

 

- Internet - Apply online at www.DisasterAssistance.gov.

 

- By smartphone or tabletcomputer - Apply at m.fema.gov.

 

- Through FEMA's app for android phones, which can be downloaded at

market.android.com/details?id=gov.fema.mobile.android.
