No, Use and Occupancy Permits are no longer required for residential resales.
Can township & park facilities be reserved?
Both pavilions in Heebner Park and athletic fields throughout the township can be reserved. The Worcester Community Hall is also available for non-profit groups based in Worcester. How do I get a dead animal in the road cleared?

For what do I need a permit?

Check with the appropriate Building & Zoning Staff before you make alterations to your home or business.

Permits applications are available in the Building Permits Section.

You will need a permit for:

  • New buildings and additions

  • Interior alterations including but not limited to finished basements

  • Structural repair or replacement

  • Swimming pool, spa, or hot tub

  • Fence

  • Fireplace

  • Heating, air conditioning replacement, plumbing alterations, electrical work or new installation

  • Shed, garage, barn, gazebo, greenhouse or other accessory structure

  • Signs

  • Wood deck, concrete patio, porch

  • Roofing and Roof replacement

  • Changes in use, home occupations, change in commercial tenants

  • Driveways - new construction entering a township road

  • Tennis and sport courts

  • Retaining walls over 4 feet

  • Demolition

  • Solicitation, one per person, valid for 30 days

  • Yard sales (see below)

Who do I call for trash and yard waste collection?

Multiple providers offer trash collection service to residents of Worcester. Residents are responsible for contracting individually with a trash hauler of their choice.

Trash haulers in Worcester Township must provide both trash and comingled recycling collection as part of the normal collection fee. They also must provide at least one collection for yard waste in the spring and fall each. Further details may be found in the section dedicated to Private Services.

What are the regulations for yard sales?
Yard sales are limited to 2 days duration, 1 time per year and must be at least 30 days apart. Signs can be posted two days prior to the first day of sale and must be removed the last day of sale. No more than three off-site signs permitted and they must have property owner’s approval. A permit from the township is required with a $5 fee, along with a $50 security deposit to ensure the removal of all signs. A permit application may be picked up at the township office, or is available on the Forms & Applications page.
Does the Township provide Leaf Collection Services?
Private haulers that provide trash service are required, by township ordinance, to provide two leaf pick-up services per year to their Worcester customers.  The township does NOT require that they charge an extra fee for this service.

What happens if a plow damages my mail box?

If a Worcester Plow hits a mailbox during snow removal, we will reimburse the resident upon verification. If snow damages the mailbox, we do not reimburse. Damaged Mailbox Reimbursement Request Form

Is open burning allowed in the Township?

Worcester Township does not have a burning ordinance. DEP bans all burning in Montgomery County. For DEP complaints/concerns, they maybe reached at 484-250-5991.
