Worcester Township Zoning Hearing Board

The Zoning Hearing Board is a quasi-judicial body. They hear applications concerning interpretations of the Zoning Ordinance and appeals of decisions by the Zoning Officer. The Board may grant relief from the provisions of the Zoning Ordinance based on compliance with established hardship guidelines, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania law and case law.

Members are initially appointed by the Board to 3-year terms, then renewable each year at the Board of Supervisors' Reorganization Meeting.

Worcester Township Uniform Construction Code Board of Appeals

Under the Pennsylvania Uniform Construction Code (UCC), municipalities administering the code are required to establish a Board of Appeals to conduct hearings and decide appeals based on the Building Code Official’s interpretation of the UCC. Worcester Township created a Board of Appeals composed of 5 appointees from the municipality. Hearings are scheduled as needed within 60 days of receipt of an appeal.
