Utility Work Update:
Township Line Road (Plymouth & Whitpain Townships) Nighttime utility work on Township Line Road in Plymouth & Whitpain Townships will continue tonight (4/6) and Thursday night (4/7) weather permitting. Starting Friday (4/8) PECO’s contractor, Henkels & McCoy, will begin daytime work between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. (set-up starts around 7 a.m.) using flagger controlled single lane patterns or lane shifts for aerial line relocation work.
North Wales Road (Whitpain and Worcester Townships): Work at North Wales Road will start Monday, April 11 and be conducted during the day Monday – Friday (Saturdays as a back-up rain date) between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. with lane restrictions. The actual roadwork is located in Whitpain Township; therefore, the contractor is operating under a township permit. It was indicated by PECO that there is a slight chance (depending on whether or not they finish Township Line Road on Wednesday night) that crews will move to North Wales Road on Thursday (4/8) for one nights work between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. Friday morning.
That would be the only night work scheduled for this location. PECO anticipates this work to be completed by the end of April.
Additionally, PECO is performing aerial relocation work at the Hickory Road (Plymouth Twp) and Wentz Road (Whitpain Twp) overpasses between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Friday until the end of May. Depending on the location of the poles in the area, lane restrictions are possible and probable.
The contractor's schedule is dependent on the weather and subject to change.
